Ron’s career in insurance and related financial products began in 1980 as a life brokerage marketer, with a focus on the high net worth markets and specialized underwriting.
More than anything else, Ron has been a leading voice in the financial services industry advocating for responsible product design, client suitability and successful outcomes for those who purchase financial products.
Ron’s dedication to successful outcomes is evidenced by his multiple engagements as an expert witness on behalf of those affected by life insurers who egregiously increased Cost of Insurance rates for older policyholders.
More recently, Ron worked with some of the industry’s top carriers leading the charge to promote the use of stochastic probability analysis for Indexed and Variable Life products.
Ron regularly works with ultra-high net worth clients, advising them on estate and tax strategies, and the use of various combinations of financial products to produce suitable and strategic tax results.
Ron is a regular contributor to Insurance News Net magazine, with articles that encourage industry participants to think like client advocates when selling and managing life insurance products. He is the author of the Large Case Design Memorandum, a widely-read newsletter among successful financial services professionals and advisors, and he has appeared on CNNFn as an expert on the topic of Life Settlements.
Ron holds series 7, 24, 65, and 63 securities licenses and is licensed to sell life insurance, health insurance, LTC insurance, variable life and annuity products, and life settlements in multiple states.
